National Agility Champions Crowned in Reno, NV

 

New York, NY – The top agility canine athletes in the nation were crowned this past weekend from an overall entry of 917 dogs at the American Kennel Club (AKC©) National Agility Championship held in Reno, Nevada.

“These dogs are true athletes, and it’s amazing to see them do what they do best,” said Carrie DeYoung, AKC Director of Agility.  “Their performances were extremely impressive.  We’re proud to acknowledge these dogs and their dedicated handlers.”

 

AKC National Agility Champions

Placing first in their height division (8″, 12″, 16″, 20″, 24” and 24C” respectively) were:

  • 8” – NAC MACH9 Aerilee’s Like Never Before MXC2 PAD MJB3 XF T2B2 (Wren), a Papillon handled by Betsey Lynch
  • 12” – NAC Quicksilver Cherry On Top MX MXJ OF T2B (Sundae), an All American Dog handled by Angie Benacquisto
  • 16” – Breezyblue’s Get This Party Started MX MXJ NF (P!nk), a Border Collie handled by Jennifer Crank
  • 20” – G Force Cassie MX MXJ OF (Cassie), a Border Collie handled by Robin Terry
  • 24” – MACH Tnt Rebounding Sound MXS MJS XF T2B (Echo), a Border Collie handled by Angie Benacquisto
  • 24C” – Contact Point’s Daredevil MX MXJ (Daredevil), a Border Collie handled by Laura Pryse

Placing first in their height divisions (4”, 8”, 12”, 16” and 20” respectively) were:

  • 4” – AGCH MACH21 PACH Chinak La Ren On A Whim MXB6 PDG MJB6 PJG MXP3 MXPB PADP MJP3 MJPB PJDP PAX FTC2 MFS3 TQX T2B18 (Whimsy), a Papillon handled by Robin Kletke
  • 8” – MACH7 PACH Diamond Dream Snafu CD RAE MXG2 MJC2 MXP2 MXPB MJP2 MJPB T2B9 T2B-P CGCU (Snafu), a Poodle handled by Nancy J. Lewis
  • 12” – MACH6 PACH Swansong’s Pretty Brilliant RN MXG2 MJS2 MXP4 MXPB MJP4 MJPB PAX MXF TQX T2B5 T2BP (Kylie), an Australian Cattle Dog handled by Anne Swan
  • 16” – MACH3 Contact Point’s Everything She Does Is Magic RN HSAs MXC MJG MXP2 MXPB MJP2 XF T2B (Spell), a Border Collie handled by Krystin Chester
  • 20” – MACH2 Flasher Dasher MXG MJG MXP MJP MXF TKP (Flash), a Dutch Shepherd handled by Amanda Wilson
