2026 Crufts
Crufts remains one of the world’s great showcases for the sport of dogs. For 135 years, this singular celebration of pedigree dogs has honored the traditions of the Royal Kennel Club by celebrating a nation’s devotion to dogs—as it is today and how it evolves to meet the future.
On the occasion of the show’s milestone anniversary, SHOWSIGHT is pleased to share news of the 2026 event, provided by Chairman Tom Mathers and Head of Brand and Revenue at Crufts, James Coulbault.
We would also like to acknowledge this year’s Best in Show winner, Clumber Spaniel “Bruin,” Sh. Ch. Vanitonia Soloist, and the Reserve Best in Show winner, Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen “Meghan,” Am/Cro/Fin/Int Ch. Black Majesty Some Say. Congratulations to their respective breeders and owner-handlers, Lee Cox and Iva Raic.
Crufts 2026, you were magical.

James Coulbault, Head of Brand and Revenue at Crufts, said:
“As we look to 2026 Crufts, we’re introducing several exciting new changes designed to reflect the evolving world of dog ownership and canine welfare. These updates reinforce our commitment to celebrating healthy dogs, responsible breeding, and the incredible bond between people and their dogs, while ensuring Crufts remains an inspiring, inclusive, and world-class event for competitors, visitors, and viewers alike. The new additions to Crufts 2026 are:
- New face on screen: TV’s favourite Claudia Winkleman will be joining Clare Balding and the team to present live coverage of Crufts.
- A brand-new Young Kennel Club hall: Visitors will spot a brand-new addition to the showground this year as Hall 8, located just off Hall 4, which becomes the dedicated home of the Young Kennel Club, designed to inspire and support the next generation of dog lovers, handlers, and future stars of the sport.
- All new grooming competitions: Hall 8 will also play host to dazzling new dog grooming competitions. For the first time, elite groomers from the UK and around the world will compete, showcasing incredible creativity, precision, and style. Sponsored by Artero, these eye-catching contests will run across different grooming categories each day, with awards presented in the main arena and broadcast live on Channel 4. The excitement builds to a grand finale on Sunday evening, when the coveted Best Dog Groomer in Show title is awarded.
- The launch of Crufts Club: Following our dual-brand strategy launch last year, Crufts is evolving beyond its four-day show into a trusted, year-round brand for every pet dog owner. A major milestone in that evolution is the launch of Crufts Club at this year’s event. Created to raise the bar for modern dog ownership, Crufts Club will cut through the noise and bring owners closer to trusted experts, making support simpler, clearer, and more accessible. It will also tackle long-standing frustrations around insurance and healthcare by offering practical guidance and credible advice. With expert-led digital content, health and training resources, wellbeing support, and an ongoing relationship with the Crufts brand, Crufts Club ensures the Crufts experience doesn’t end when the show does.
- Extra buzz in Agility and Flyball: Agility and Flyball fans can expect even more action, with new sponsor zones and activations bringing added energy, colour, and fun to the ringside experience.
- Discover Dogs area: The much-loved Discover Dogs area returns, giving visitors the chance to meet more than 200 pedigree breeds up close. Expert breed specialists and knowledgeable owners will be on hand to answer questions and help anyone thinking about welcoming a dog into their life. This year also sees the debut of three newly recognised breeds: the Hungarian Mudi, Icelandic Sheepdog, and Pyrenean Mastiff.
- Enhanced health testing: In a major boost for canine welfare, free Respiratory Function Grading (RFG) health tests will be available for 14 additional breeds at Crufts for the very first time, helping to raise awareness and support healthier dogs.
- Junior Warrant finalists: Spectators will be able to cheer on 12 outstanding young dogs as they compete in the Junior Warrant Winner of the Year finals, a showcase of exciting rising stars.
- New judges in special classes: A new line-up of respected judges, including Raymond Holy, Jeremy Organ, and Megan Fox, will preside over working gundog and gamekeeper classes.
- Even more Crufts on TV: Fans at home won’t miss a moment, with expanded TV coverage and highlights bringing all the magic of Crufts to screens across the country.
- A landmark year for the Royal Kennel Club: Crufts 2026 will also mark a historic first, as the organization proudly unveils its new identity as The Royal Kennel Club, following the granting of its royal warrant.”

Speaking on 2026 Crufts and the event’s importance today, Tom Mather, Chairman of Crufts, said:
“2026 Crufts celebrates excellence across the dog world and underlines the continuing importance of the event today. For well over a century, Crufts has brought together the very best of pedigree dogs, canine sports, and expert knowledge from across the UK and around the world, and that tradition continues with renewed relevance in 2026. At a time when conversations around dog ownership, breeding, and welfare have never been more important, Crufts provides a trusted, global platform to champion best practice, promote education, and highlight the vital work being done to support healthier dogs and responsible ownership.
The 2026 show reflects our ongoing commitment to evolving and growing alongside the dog world. This year, that evolution is evident in several exciting additions, including brand new grooming competitions and the introduction of Hall 8, the new home of the Young Kennel Club. These developments create broader opportunities to showcase skill, creativity, and emerging talent, while further enhancing the visitor experience. As we continue to innovate, welcome new audiences, and invest in the next generation, we remain firmly rooted in the values that define Crufts.
From showcasing outstanding canine talent to inspiring young handlers and engaging the public both in the arena and at home, Crufts continues to unite the international dog-loving community in a way that is both meaningful and enduring. We are immensely proud of what Crufts represents today and of the positive impact it continues to have for dogs and those who care for them.”
