Nannette obtained her first Australian Shepherd in 1973. She has been a member of the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) since that time. She is also an approved Breeder Judge in that organization and has been a member of the United States Australian Shepherd Association (USASA) since its inception in 1992. As a breeder-owner-handler she put advanced titles in herding, conformation, and her dogs, also earning the coveted title of Most Versatile Australian Shepherd at a National Specialty and Reserve Most Versatile Australian Shepherd at the following National's competition. She continues to compete in conformation events with her bloodlines and has exhibited a variety of other breeds including the Sussex Spaniel, Border Collie, Chinese Crested, Vizsla, Labrador, and Collie.
