Mrs. Sharon Newcomb has about 50 years of experience with dogs. She is a successful breeder, owner/handler, professional handler, trainer (in both obedience and field trials with a Labrador Retriever), and an AKC conformation judge with 35 years of experience. Mrs. Newcomb has bred or owned Weimaraners, Miniature Poodles, Shetland Sheepdogs, Pomeranians, Pekingese, German Shepherd Dogs, Doberman Pinschers, Papillons, Anatolian Shepherds, Pointers, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Chihuahuas. Mrs. Newcomb is approved to judge the Toy Group, the Herding Group, and several breeds in all other AKC Groups. She has earned AKC Best in Show awards with Pomeranians, Papillons, Chihuahuas, Pointers, Shetland Sheepdogs, and German Shepherd Dogs. A noted teacher and lecturer, Mrs. Newcomb has instructed both conformation and obedience classes. She has also presented seminars on German Shepherds, Papillons, Anatolian Shepherds, and Chihuahuas. In addition, she has delivered canine health lectures on topics such as diet and vaccinations. Mrs. Newcomb is well-known across the United States and internationally. She has judged in England, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, China, Sweden, and Korea. She first showed a Papillon in the mid-1970s and has been breeding Papillons with her daughter, Elyse Vandermolen, under the Clearlake Papillons name for the past 20 years.
