Most companies selling hemp for pets do not grow hemp. They buy bulk extract from a third-party supplier, blend it into a carrier oil, put their label on the bottle, and hope the next lot resembles the last one. It is a reasonable way to enter a market quickly. It is a poor way to make something you would give an animal every day for years.
HempMy Pet was built the other way around. We are a vertically integrated hemp company: we breed our own genetics, grow them on our own Colorado farms, extract from our own crop, and formulate every batch in-house. Our extract is never imported. We have never used isolate in any product we have ever sold.
TWO UNIVERSITY CLINICAL TRIALS, ON OUR OWN OIL
Most brands in this category point at somebody else's research. We put our own product through it.
Researchers at Colorado State University conducted a 90-day canine study using our full-spectrum hemp oil. Tarleton State University, part of the Texas A&M System, conducted an equine stress study using the same oil we sell. Not a similar product. Not a comparable formulation. The oil on our shelf.
That kind of study is only possible when you control the whole chain. A company that buys extract on the open market cannot promise a research team consistency across a 90-day protocol, because it cannot promise consistency across two purchase orders. We can, because we grew it.
We publish the research rather than asking anyone to take our word for it.
HOW WE MAKE IT
Every ingredient and every formulation is 100% human-grade. We follow cGMPs for human dietary supplement manufacturing, which is why we can state that with certainty rather than as a marketing line. Our carrier oils — organic hemp seed, organic MCT coconut, organic olive — are sourced responsibly from trusted suppliers.
Every batch is third-party tested for potency and screened for pesticides, residual solvents, heavy metals, and microbial content. The Certificate of Analysis is published for anyone who wants to read it.
Gluten-free, GMO-free, pesticide-free, cruelty-free, and vegan, with the single exception of our Pumpkin Harvest biscuits, which contain eggs. No fillers, no added flavors, no synthetic additives. We do not believe they are necessary, so we do not use them.
We farm organically and advocate for others to do the same. Hemp is a phytoremediator — it draws up whatever is in the soil it grows in. How it is grown is not a marketing detail. It is the whole thing.
