I have been involved in the sport of dogs since the early 1970s when I began training a German Shepherd Dog in Obedience and decided I was hooked on the “competition.” I discovered Pulik in the mid-‘70s, was instantly attracted to them because of our shared Hungarian heritage, and have focused on this breed since that time under the Moonshadow prefix. We have bred and owned multiple BIS and Best in National Specialty Show winners, as well as top producers in the breed, with over 85 Champion and Obedience titles on our homebreds, as well as multiple Puli Club of America National Specialty successes. Moonshadow has also produced top-winning exports in Great Britain, Denmark, and we have been named the top Puli breeder in England where we have had the top-producing dam and top Puli for several years.

In the early ‘90s we added Norwich Terriers to the mix, and campaigned one as a multiple Group-winning, top-ranked Norwich, who was also BOS at the Montgomery County Kennel Club. He was the sire of 50 champions.

I am currently approved to judge the Herding and Terrier Groups, as well as 12 Working Dogs. I have judged the Puli Club of America National Specialty in 2002, 2008, 2014, 2019, and 2024, as well as the Puli Championship Show in Great Britain. And I have been privileged to judge Norwich Terriers at Montgomery, as well as multiple Herding breeds at Westminster in 2023.

We currently share our home with four Pulik and one beleaguered German Shepherd.
