Ms. Carol Graham

Carol Graham started her career in dogs with Miniature Poodles in 1964. Then in 1968, she moved into breeding and showing Schipperkes going on to breed and show many of the top-winning Schips under the prefix of Crystalton, which was permanently registered in 1976.

Carol also owned a couple of multi BIS winning Keeshonds in the 70’s.

After traveling a few years with a professional handler, she went out on her own to become one of Canada’s most well-known professional all-breed handlers, traveling full-time in Canada, the US, Mexico, Bermuda, and Italy. For over thirty years she was seen with some of Canada’s top-winning dogs, especially known for her achievements with Afghan Hounds, which were on several occasions Number 1 Hound in Canada and one of the top-winning of all breeds, and Standard Poodles, having won hundreds of Bests in Show in these breeds. Also seen with multi Best in Show winning Samoyeds, Pomeranians, Toy Poodles, Alaskan Malamutes, Giant Schnauzers, Whippets, Shetland Sheepdogs, Bullmastiffs, Papillons, Keeshonds, and many more.

After retiring from handling in 1996, she has continued to breed and show Standard Poodles and Pomeranians, many of which have been top winners and multiple Best in Show achievers. Standard Poodle CAN GCH EX AM CH Crystalton Suspence RE, bred and co-owned by Carol, was the Number 1 dog of all breeds in Canada in 2014 with 50 Bests in Show. Then with more offspring placing in the Top Ten of all breeds several times.

Pursuing a judging career in 1997, she achieved her All-Breed Status in 2010 in Canada. Carol has judged extensively in Canada and the US, and has also judged in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Mexico.
