About the Judge
John Bink AKC Judge's Number: 64999 I am an All-Breeds Judge, licenced to judge In Australia and in America. A.K.C Judge's Number: 64999 Judge : Conformation All Bree I have had the privilege of judging these Groups all over Australia and New Zealand, including Hound Specialty shows, the Basset Specialty of NSW and the Basset Show in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the US, Japan, and Canada. I have also had the honor of judging in America, including the Texas Cluster, Long Beach KC shows held in conjunction with the Eukanuba World Dog Show, the Basset specialty of Southern California, the Basset National of Canada, and the Washington State Hound Club shows.
I have been involved in the dog world since 1978. During that time, I have achieved over 100 Best in Show awards. My first breed was the Irish Setter. I had much success in this breed for over 10 years. I then decided to go into a different breed, so that was when I ventured into the Basset Hounds in 1988. I started with one Basset, CH Chakrata Oxford Bags, a tri color dog who took the dog world by storm. He became a multi Best in Show winner, and was the foundation dog behind my breeding at Earlingford Bassets, where over the years I have produced royal and specialty-winning Bassets. To help my breeding program, I have imported Bassets from America, Holland, and Sweden. These dogs have also been successful in the show ring, all being multi Best in Show winners.
Over the years, I have been involved in many kennel clubs. I have been a Councilor on the board of Dogs ACT and have been a breed lecturer for Basset Hounds, PBGVs, and Irish Setters. I have also been involved in a show training program for beginners to the show ring. I enjoy judging dogs immensely and I am still actively involved in the breeding and showing of my Basset Hounds.
