Richard Eichhorn began his journey in Tibetan Mastiffs with a chance encounter of a 1978 issue of LIFE magazine that featured "Rare Breed Dogs of the World" and a photo of a Tibetan Mastiff. His first puppy came home in March of 1979. Decades and generations later, as the premiere AKC Breeder/Judge specialist for the breed, he is still active as an AKC preservation breeder, author, mentor, lecturer, and international Tibetan Mastiff specialty judge.
