Adair’N’Hug Alaskan Malamutes

I have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for over 40 years and began judging in 2007. I got my start with Australian Shepherds prior to their AKC recognition, and later enjoyed Akitas, Borzois, Petit Basset Griffon Vendéens, and Alaskan Malamutes, which have been my main focus for over 35 years under Adair'n'Hug Alaskan Malamutes.

My husband, Joseph, and I take great pride in breeder-owner-handling our dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Weight Pull, and Hiking. Our Alaskan Malamutes have won our National Top Twenty Event four times ("Strutz" in 2001, "Stewart" in 2005 and 2006, and "Princess" in 2011), along with multiple Best in Specialty wins. Our daughters were also active Junior Handlers, with Katie Jo winning Best Junior Handler at the 2005 and 2006 Alaskan Malamute Nationals.

We remain deeply dedicated to the Alaskan Malamute and the dog fancy as a family, and we always delight in seeing newcomers join the sport.
