This was a life-changing decision, and my passion for this breed has taken me all over the world. My first litter in 1976 produced Aust. Ch. Chilolo Karoo who was awarded Best Puppy, Challenge Bitch, and Runner Up Best in Show at the 1977 RR Specialty Show in Sydney. I have since bred over 90 champions in Australia and a number of other countries. I have also been involved with Pharaoh Hounds, English Springer Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, American Cockers, Salukis, and Whippets.

Moving from exhibiting to judging was a natural progression. I qualified as a judge of Rhodesian Ridgebacks in 1999 and became an ANKC All Breeds Judge in 2016. I have judged Ridgeback Specialty shows all over the world and, in 2024, I had the privilege to be the only person outside the US, Canada, and South Africa to judge the prestigious RR National in the USA. This happened to be 50 years since I bought my first Ridgeback!

Since becoming an All Breeds judge, I have judged Best in Show throughout Australia. Internationally I have judged a variety of Breeds, Groups and Best in Show in the UK, France, US, South Africa, Japan, Holland, Thailand, New Zealand, China, Russia, Sweden, Philippines, and India.

I have provided seminars to trainee judges in Queensland and by Zoom to New Zealand, and have also presented a seminar on Hounds at the request of the Kennel Club of China in 2019.
