Todd Foley, from Nova Scotia, Canada, grew up in a dog show family. His parents, Eleanor and Harold Foley, bred world renowned Boxers (Elharlen Boxers) since he can remember. At six years old he received his first show-dog, a Whippet named “Jet,” who ended up winning multiple Bests in Show. He competed in Junior Handling throughout his childhood and went on to be the Nova Scotia Junior Handling representative for the CKC.
He has bred and shown dogs that have been successful at many levels throughout North America, including a Westminster KC breed-winning Beagle, “Am/Can Ch.TG Lil Ed.” He also bred top-winning Standard Poodles, Kerry Blue Terriers, Salukis, and Shetland Sheepdogs. Todd owner-handled the top-winning Sheltie in Canadian History, “Olivia,” Am/Can Ch. Shelhaven Sweet Seduction, to 41 Bests in Show and the Canadian record-setting Pug, “Adam,” Ch. Diamond Sand’s Simply Perfect, to 31 Bests in Show. He has won over 100 Bests in Show on various breeds.
Todd has traveled all over the world to prestigious dog shows such as Westminster, Crufts, and the World Dog Shows. He represented various Canadian dog magazines, providing candid dog show photography services. He is now retired from the Federal Government and is a Conformation show judge, currently licensed to judge half of Sporting, Herding, Working, Hounds, Best in Show, and just finishing off his provisional for half of Sporting. Todd is a Director for the Canadian Dog Judges Association and Area Coordinator for the CKC Conformation Judge Observer Program.
He has judged in Argentina, Australia, the US, Colombia, and all over Canada.
