Mr. Yuri Fabricio Pastor

Fabricio Pastor’s career had its beginnings in Cali, Colombia, when he purchased his first Shar Pei specimen. By attending several dog events, he was suddenly invited to the Colombian Ralston-Purina Ranking where his Shar Pei won 1st place. This experience encouraged him to keep on learning about this sport, and it was then that he decided to open his own breeding place under the name P’elarena, which is registered under the FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale). He was an active member of the Club Canino del Valle (Cali ) and, some time later, he imported two American Shar Pei champion specimens to develop his breeding project. He earned his degree as a Publicist in Colombia before he returned to Ecuador where he imported his first female American Cocker Spaniel. After studying the Basenji breed, he purchased his first female puppy and afterwards began raising the Papillion breed. He’s managed to obtain championships with several specimens from his breeding place inside and outside of Ecuador, with a total of 24 Ecuadorian champions, eight multi-Chs, BIS/BIS placements, and his first American Champion. Being a member of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America, he has assisted and participated in several courses and contests, obtaining an Award of Merit (AOM) in Orlando, Florida, which became his biggest achievement as a handler. He also exhibits other breeds such as the Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Brittany, Rottweiler, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Miniature Schnauzer, Dachshund, English Bulldog, and Bull Terrier. In 2006, he got his All-breed judging license from the Ecuadorian Association of Canine Records (AERCAN) and he’s a currently an active member and part of the Board of the same organization as their Director of Foreign Relations till 2025. *He received the AKC judging approval in September 2018. Grooming Judge since 2022. President of Santa Elena Kennel Club (AERCAN delegation) since 2023.

Fabricio has judged in Uruguay, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Italy, Spain, United States of America, Canada, Bolivia, Panama, Brazil, Australia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Cuba, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Argentina, and Americas and the Caribbean Dog Show (Ecuador), World Dog Show Brazil 2022.
