The Pembroke Welsh Corgi, or simply the Pembroke or even the Corgi, is a robust canine with a distinctive appearance and a bold outlook on life. The breed was originally developed to herd sheep and cattle on remote farms in Wales where it needed to be tough, agile, and resilient. The Pembroke is unmistakable for its low-set body, "foxy" head, and bobbed or docked tail.
