Breed
The Mudi is a herding breed from Hungary where it is still favored by shepherds to work sheep and cattle herds. In the United States, the breed is rare, with a small number of fanciers. The Mudi retains its strong herding instinct. The breed is very versatile, making it a contender in many active dog sports. The Mudi is believed to be one of the oldest of the Hungarian sheepdogs, thought to have been in existence since the 9th Century.
