This is our first event in our newly renovated Taylor County Expo Center Coliseum! Conformation was in the coliseum and obedience/rally were in the Display building. We had to limit entries for fear of overcrowding as some venues have experienced, with everyone so ready to get back after the pandemic! The limits were reached quickly. Reserved grooming sold out in two days. We had about 875 dogs entered each day. We got a lot of compliments on how well the show was run, and Abilene Kennel Club donated 4 dog waste stations to the Expo Center for their newly renovated grounds. We had originally “required” masks and other covid restrictions, but as CDC guidelines changed we changed with them. Finally, masks were “recommended” and everyone made their own choices. The PeeWee Special Attraction was a big hit on Saturday!
