AKC National Obedience Championship

 

New York, NY – The top dogs in the nation were crowned from an overall combined entry of more than 640 dogs this past weekend at the AKC National Obedience Championship and AKC Rally National Championship. Competitions were held July 8th-10th, 2022 at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington, OH.

“It was absolutely incredible to watch these outstanding performances as the new National Champions were crowned in Obedience and Rally,” said Doug Ljungren, AKC Executive Vice President of Sports and Events. “These dogs exemplify the very finest in their sports. We’re thrilled to celebrate the dedication and many talents of these dog and handler teams.”

“All of us at the American Kennel Club want to thank our exhibitors, volunteers, judges, and supporting clubs for helping us host these spectacular competitions. We treasure the camaraderie these competitions allow us to share,” said Diane Schultz, AKC Director of Obedience, Rally and Tracking.

1st Runner-Up:  OTCH9 HC AGCH MACH5 RACH Norwood Color Me Zayne UDX9 OGM RM3 RAE3 HSAd HSBd HXAd HXBd MXC PDS MJC PJS MFG TQX T2B5, a Border Collie known as “Zayne,” handled by Kim Berkley of Caseyville, IL.

2nd Runner-Up:  CH OTCH2 MACH Aratone’s Royal Keepsake UDX3 OM4 MXS MJS, a Shetland Sheepdog known as “Kylee,” handled by Vicky Gillow of Mebane, NC

3rd Runner-Up:  OTCH3 Quantum’s She’s Red Hot UDX3 OM5, a Labrador Retriever known as “Zayna,” handled by Petra Ford of Washington, NJ
