Patricia A. (Patty) Sosa has been breeding under the Bandog prefix since 1982. Having bred Rottweilers, Bullmastiffs, and French Bulldogs, in the late 1980s, Patty decided to continue with breeding and exhibiting Frenchies only. Both she and her husband, Luis, have bred dogs that have won 43 all-breed Bests in Show and five National Specialties, three of which were won with Patty exhibiting herself. The Sosas have produced over 100 champions, with over 200 Group wins and placements. Patty has been involved with her local kennel club, Louisiana Kennel Club, since the mid-90s and is also their Treasurer. She has been a member of the French Bulldog Club of America since the early ‘80s and has held many club positions. Currently, she is on the FBDCA Board and is Judges Education Chair and PR Chair. Patty provides mentoring and education by contributing articles for Frenchie education. Patty judged the French Bulldog National in the States in 2009 and Westminster in 2023, as well as both Nationals and Specialties, plus all breeds in Norway, Sweden, Russia, China, and Mexico. She is currently approved by AKC to judge the Working and Non-Sporting Groups, Junior Showmanship, and Best in Show. From 1992 to today, Patty has also been an all-breed dog show photographer.
