Lineage
Breed
The Border Terrier is a true working terrier, built to function both above and below ground. The breed’s physical and mental characteristics support its historical use as a hunter of vermin, badger, otter, and fox. Although the Border does not strongly resemble most other terrier breeds, this good-natured companion is as “game as they come.” The breed’s signature “otter head” is a distinctive breed feature, but it is only one of many.
Kennel

Fella and his litter sister Pippa are my first terriers. They are from the first litter between GCHP Meadowlake Chrome Plated Heart and CH Sun Devil Encore of Marlyn. Fella finished with several nice breeds from the classes in September of 2025. Then it took us awhile to find our stride as a specials team - and we continue to work on grooming, conditioning, and handling. In January of 2026 he had a couple nice breed wins during the Rose City Classic. Since then he has done exceptionally well entirely owner handled and groomed with limited showing. As of July 31, he stands at #3 in breed points and #5 in NOHS for border terriers. He has multiple group placements, OH Group wins, and, recently, a OHRBIS at Umpqua Kennel Club. Between shows he is just a dog who loves to do tricks, go for hikes, and visit new Sniffspots. Recently, we have been tackling earth dog.
