International Kennel Club of Chicago

The International Kennel Club of Chicago (IKC), was originally established in 1900 as the Chicago Kennel Club. IKC hosts the iconic, all-breed International Kennel Club of Chicago Dog Show (the International), the premier dog show in the midwest and one of America’s most prestigious canine events. The International was originally held at Chicago’s International Amphitheatre, and moved to McCormick Place after the Amphitheatre was closed in 1983. The International called McCormick Place home from 1983-2015. A venerated Chicago tradition beloved by exhibitors and spectators alike, the International welcomed 60,000 guests per year, and became an annual destination for thousands of families from Chicago and its suburbs.
