2022 National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day

The annual National Dog Show is arguably the best part of Thanksgiving Day. As food cooks in the kitchen and your stomach rumbles, why not lie back on the couch and watch 200 top dogs strut their stuff? Here’s everything you need to know about the canine competition.

How Do Dog Shows Work?

If you’re unfamiliar with dog shows, now is a great time to get learning! Study up on some of the common dog show terms you may hear during the show. Also, familiarize yourself with how a dog show winner is chosen. As a hint, the dogs are not judged against each other. Rather, each dog is judged against their individual AKC breed standard.
