Police Department Receives $10,000 Check For New Police Dog

 

The Lexington Kennel Club and AKC presented a $10,000 check to Officer Boyer of the Paris KY Police Department for the purchase of their new Police Dog on Saturday September 3 during the Bluegrass Classic Cluster of Dog Shows, which took place in Lexington Kentucky at the Kentucky Horse Park from Thursday September 1 – Monday September 5, 2022.

The check was a joint donation from the Lexington Kennel Club ($2500) and AKC Reunite ($7500). The presentation was held Saturday September 3rd, before Best In Show, and the officers did a demonstration for the spectators.

Said the Paris Kentucky Police Department on their Facebook Page:

We would like to thank American Kennel Club for their amazing donation. Your generous donation will greatly help us get our 2nd K9. Paris Police Department is grateful to have such an involved community. And thank you K-9 Officer Boyer and to our new K-9 Officer Short for all your hard work.”
