It’s too early to tell how dog show entries are going to be developing this year, but we need to look at ways to improve the situation.
AKC Meet the Breeds is a relatively new event. People are coming to see 200 dog breeds from the parent clubs that comprise the AKC itself.
If those of us who have worked hard to build up our sport don’t train others and pass the torch to the next generation, we are doomed to fail.
Start the year off on a positive note and ask everyone to think of what we can do, to minimize our problems and achieve our goals in 2023.
There’s much to do beyond social media. We need to leave our bubble and see the world, while also encouraging others to do so.
When you become involved in the sport of purebred dogs, you will eventually become part of a huge new FAMILY. That’s right, a “Family.”
The life and legacy of Jamie Donelson will long be remembered by her family and friends, and by the countless people in our community.
