Meet Kimberly Washington – 2025 Montgomery County Kennel Club Breed Judge – Staffordshire Bull Terriers
1. What does it mean to be invited to judge at one of the most important dog shows in the world—Montgomery?
Kimberly Washington: I first entered the sport of dog shows in 1994 and my first breed National was held at MCKC in 1995, which I had the pleasure of attending. To be asked to judge my breed 30 years later at the biggest terrier show in the country is truly and honor. The icing on the cake was to learn that my entry is the highest it has been in 20 years! The appreciation I have for my peers with this entry is immeasurable!
2. Can you share your thoughts on your various Breed assignments? Please be specific.
Kimberly Washington: I was more than pleased to see the depth of quality in my Stafford ring!
3. In your opinion, what does the future hold for the Terrier Breeds in America and around the world?
Kimberly Washington: Terriers are becoming more and more popular. We have elegant terriers such as the Airedale and Bedlington as well as the family, fun-loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier that sticks to you like glue!
