New York, NY (February 11, 2025) — The English Springer Spaniel of Milan, IL handled by Robin Novack and owned by Beth Fink, Liz Pike, Judy Vanderlip, Gina Paulucci, and Susan Hatch, won the Sporting Group under judge Mrs. Virginia Murray of Island Lake, IL, at the 149th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan held at Madison Square Garden, “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” on Tuesday, February 11.
Freddie, a 6-year-old male officially known as GCHP CH Telltale Bohemian Rhapsody, took top honors among the 35 dogs entered in the Sporting Group. Westminster sees over 2,500 entries in conformation, with two days of Best of Breed judging from Monday, February 10 – Tuesday, February 11 held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, culminating with the Group and Best in Show competitions at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.

The Sporting Group was televised live on FS1 from New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, the original home of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
